Horizon T203The Horizon T203 Treadmill

Ohiyo!

I’m back with some good stories for you. However none of them have anything to do with treadmills, so I will forbear. I would tell you about my day and what I’m going to be having for lunch, but I just don’t think you would be interested in that. So let’s get down to business! Let’s rest our eye sockets on the Horizon T203 for a moment.

What should you look for in a sub-$1000 treadmill. A lot of people don’t know what to expect in a treadmill this cheap, so they settle for much less than they could have got if they had known more. Let’s see if the Horizon T203 is a good sub-$1000 buy.

The best treadmill in this class that comes to my mind is the NordicTrack C900, which gives you most of the popular extra features, the full-fledged 3.0 CHP Motor, the 12MPH speed, 15% incline, and 20″ x 60″ running surface, as well as a decent warranty. There is a lot more to a treadmill than these things, but these are the most important to customers.

Setting that as the bar, Let’s see how the Horizon T203 measures up.
The specs include:

  • A 2.75 CHP motor
  • a full 12 MPH speed
  • a 12% incline
  • a 20″ x 60″ treadbelt
  • comfortSELECT adjustable cushioning.
  • weight limit 350 lbs
  • lifetime frame and motor with 2 year parts and 1 year labor warranty
  • It almost reaches the bar. Which is great for Horizon. They’ve really stepped up their game with this treadmill. The C900 is a little better in most aspects, but if the sale ends on that one, you can safely fall back on this one without losing too much.

The quality of the components and materials, as well as the design, fit, durability, and sturdiness are also very important in choosing a treadmill. The Horizon T203 is great for its class in all of these.

I recommend when choosing a treadmill to find some sort of treadmill comparison site (like www.treadmillcomparison.com or www.treadmillreview.com), and search all the treadmills in a price range and see which gives you the most specs and features.

The T203 has a good run and although there are slightly better treadmills out there, I would still recommend this one for it’s price. It easily beats most of the competition.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.

About My Treadmill Reviews

TreadmillMy treadmill reviews are both subjective and objective. They are objective in the sense that I will provide you with information about each machine, such as motor, weight capacity and other features. But they are subjective in the sense that I am really giving my opinion of each treadmill. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, but my hope is that my elliptical and treadmill reviews can be helpful to you in making a decision on what to buy. Remember that each review is just what I think. You can always check out Treadmill Doctor, Treadmill Review Guru or these other treadmill reviews if you want another opinion.
