Our treadmill spotlight of the day is on the Proform Trailrunner 2.0. We talked about Trailrunner 4.0 a while back, and now it’s time to check out its little brother. It’s a new model for 2011, and it’s a quick selling machine. It has been a major player in the Proform line so far this year.
It’s going for about $1,500, which is $1000 off the regular price, so it’s not hard to see why it’s going so fast. When people see a deal like that, they often don’t even stop long to see what they’re buying. So before you give in to your impulsive tendencies, take some time to read this so you can know exactly what it is your buying.
From what I experienced, the Proform Trailrunner 2.0 is a solid piece of equipment. It holds its ground firmly and doesn’t feel like it’s going to rattle apart, like a lot of other treadmills in this price range. It has a quiet and powerful motor. The 3.5 Horsepowers are strong enough to push any sized runner. The deck is strong enough to handle a 350 lb person with no problem. So most people would be okay on this thing.
The adjustable cushioning is a bonus feature that a lot of people like. The 7″ touch screen is bright and vibrant and works well. You would think that while you’re running, you arm would be so shaky that it would be hard to control a touch screen, but it’s not. It’s surprisingly easy. A bigger screen is always better, but 7″ is usually good.

And the great ratings that it constantly gets from happy customers, it’s at the top of its game in its current $1,500 price range. It’s hard to think of any treadmill that offers more at this price. This is definitely a good consideration.
