The NordicTrack Reflex 8500 Pro:

Hello! I’m back with some pretty interesting stuff today. While checking out endless lines of treadmills (which is what I do all day), a certain one caught my attention: The NordicTrack Reflex 8500 Pro. At first I just thought it looked weird, so I decided to give it a good inspection to see if its any good. After really looking into it, it became one of my new favorites.

As its name implies, the focus of this treadmill is on its reflex cushioning. Every single treadmill these days usually has some sort of cushioning with a fancy name to make it sound great. Usually, however, the cushioning is hardly useful, and way overrated. Companies have tried everything from shocks, to air, to foam, to springs to get a good cushion into their treadmills. Of all the different cushions out there, this one was genius to me. I’ve never seen any other like it. It’s new, it’s simple, and its the most effective I’ve ever seen.

Unlike most, this treadmill looks like a plain piece of wood with a belt slapped across it. But this is what makes this treadmill a wonder. This “piece of wood” is no ordinary deck. Its made of a composite that bowes in on impact, and then immediately springs back into shape. This “reflex” absorbs your steps when you land, and gives you a small spring to your step when you lift. It does a wonderful job at what it does. This resilience doesn’t take away from the deck’s durability. It actually makes it one of the strongest decks on the market. NordicTrack claims that all the top-level executives of the company keep this one in their homes because it is simply the most comfortable treadmill out there.

Although most of the attention goes to its deck, this treadmill does have a lot of great specs and features as well. It’s got:

  • -3.0 CHP Commercial DURX Motor
  • -20″ X 55″ Commercial Quiet Treadbelt
  • -0-12 MPH 1-Touch Speed™
  • -0-15% 1-Touch Incline™
  • -Fold-up SpaceSaver Design
  • -Club-Design Cardigrip™ Heart Rate Monitor
  • -350lbs weight capacity
  • -CoolAire Workout Fan
  • -Touch Screen display
  • -Ifit Live Compatibility
  • -Intermix Acoustics 3.0 built in speakers
  • -14 Performance workouts
  • -6 Distance Workouts
  • -6 Weight Loss Workouts
  • -Competition Training Center
  • -Warranty: Lifetime Frame & Motor, 2 year parts, 1 year labor.

With all the features, specs, and functionality, and design of this Treadmill the MSRP is set at $2,999. So you’re definitely paying for what you get. Its little brother, the 4500, is a cheaper, and has the same great reflex, but with a little less power and functions. Both of them are fantastic choices that I would recommend to anyone. Plus I think the look is growing on me. Really check these out if you’re looking for a treadmill.

Thanks for reading! See you next time!

About My Treadmill Reviews

TreadmillMy treadmill reviews are both subjective and objective. They are objective in the sense that I will provide you with information about each machine, such as motor, weight capacity and other features. But they are subjective in the sense that I am really giving my opinion of each treadmill. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, but my hope is that my elliptical and treadmill reviews can be helpful to you in making a decision on what to buy. Remember that each review is just what I think. You can always check out Treadmill Doctor, Treadmill Review Guru or these other treadmill reviews if you want another opinion.
