The Yowza Siesta Treadmill
Okotte iru? What’s happening? Here today we’re going to review another Yowza Treadmill. The Yowza Siesta. Not sure what the name is all about? I suppose maybe they’re advertising how comfortable the machine is. “It’s so comfortable that it will put you to sleep”, may be what they’re trying to say. They do claim that the Siesta has the best absorption system of them all, so I guess that really is how it got its name. However, regardless of the name, I’m gonna give you the bear necessities of it. I’ll try to keep you from falling into a siesta while you’re reading.
I guess I’ll start with the absorption system. While it’s advertised to be the best of all the Yowza models, it’s actually the same design as the rest, using the Swing Arm Technology. A little lever holds up the front of the treadmill, and when you press on it, the arm moves down a little bit like a spring. This allows the front to absorb the shock, but the back remains firm and intact to allow you full force when pushing off with your back foot. This system is unique to Yowza and works remarkably well. However, there is nothing different about this model’s system in particular. My guess is that this is their cheapest treadmill, and they needed something to try to put the focus on.
The motor is a 2.5 CHP Motor. At $1,399 it’s not hard to find bigger motors in treadmills, and bigger is usually better. However, despite the medium sized motor, it is built well and operates at fairly low RPMs, which is good.
The deck is a regular triple Phenolic reversible deck. Basically that means it’s quiet, and won’t get rubbed dry for a long time. And when it does, it can be flipped over. the belt is a 20″ x 55″ multi-ply treadbelt. The rollers are crowned to keep the belt centered which is a very good thing. The steel powder coated frame is very nice. The overall look of the machine very nice.
Some of the specs include:
- 2.5 CHP Motor
- 10MPH
- 12% Incline
- 300 lb weight limit
- 20″ x 55″ treadbelt
- Swing Arm absorption cushioning
- Grip Pulse Heart Sensors/wireless receiver

Yah there’s a lot of stuff on this treadmill. There are plenty of built in workout programs to keep anyone busy. The console is a very nice, user friendly layout, with a small LCD blue screen that displays your information. And…the rest is history. The warranty is one of the best in this class. Giving you lifetime coverage on the frame and motor as well as 5 years on parts and 2 year of labor.
