Proform Pro 4500The Proform Pro 4500
Okay, I’m back to my regular self and reviewing treadmills again. Today I’m going to cover the Proform Pro 4500. Whenever a treadmill comes out with a high price, people want to know what’s so special about it that makes it so expensive. The treadmill right now costs $2,999 at full price. Generally the pattern is that a new treadmill will come out and get everyone excited, but be a bit too expensive. Then after a little while, Proform will slash the price in half with a big sale, and everyone will grab it up. Seems to work pretty well for them so far. Right now this treadmill is still in the ‘prepping everyone for the big sale’ mode. I imagine it will be put on sale in the near future, but can’t guarantee it.

Anyway, this is most expensive treadmill by Proform right now. It is also the biggest when it comes to power, strength, weight, and size. I reviewed the Pro 2500 a few weeks ago, and this is very very similar to that, but with a few nice upgrades.

First off, it’s got a huge motor. 3.8 CHP is more than enough to move a 400 lb man. The quality is easy to feel when you get on. The motor isn’t very loud, it doesn’t struggle at its lowest speed, and stays calm and collected at high speeds. The weight capacity claims to hold up to 450 lbs which is considerably higher than most of Proform’s other treadmills which usually hold between 300 – 350.

Still with the strong frame and deck, the cushioning feels good. The Belt is full sized at 20″ x 60″ 2-ply, and is commercial quality, and should fray or break anytime soon. The treadmill can reach 12MPH and 15% incline (unless you want to tweak those numbers with a little know-how).

The features add a lot of value to this treadmill. Proform spared no pains in giving this all the best they could find when it comes to entertainment and electronics. The console is a full 10″ color touch screen web browser. The design is great and very user-friendly. Ifit Live is built in so you can keep track of all your stats and progress and race against yourself or others. The built in Ipod/MP3 player works well with the Intermix Acoustics 3.0 Speakers.

The durability of this machine should last you a long time. The Warranty gives it 5 years on parts, 2 years on labor, and a lifetime on the Frame and motor.

Here’s a list.

  • 3.8 CHP Motor
  • 450 lb weight limit
  • 20″ x 60″ 2 ply treadbelt
  • 12MPH
  • 15% incline
  • 8″ workout Fan
  • 10″ Full color touch screen web browser display
  • 30 built in workouts
  • FS2 Full Surface Suspension Cushioning
  • Fold Up with Easy Lift Assist
  • CardioGrip Heart Rate with Chest Strap
  • Ifit Live Built in
  • Ipod/MP3 port with built in speakers
  • Warranty: Lifetime Frame and Motor, 5 year parts, 2 year labor

If you are looking for a high end treadmill with lots a lot of strength and power, and all the best features for entertainment, this is the best machine proform has to offer. If you can afford it, it’s a great machine in every aspect.

About My Treadmill Reviews

TreadmillMy treadmill reviews are both subjective and objective. They are objective in the sense that I will provide you with information about each machine, such as motor, weight capacity and other features. But they are subjective in the sense that I am really giving my opinion of each treadmill. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, but my hope is that my elliptical and treadmill reviews can be helpful to you in making a decision on what to buy. Remember that each review is just what I think. You can always check out Treadmill Doctor, Treadmill Review Guru or these other treadmill reviews if you want another opinion.
