Smooth 9.65LC TreadmillThe Smooth 9.65LC Treadmill

Hello Everyone! I realize the world is in a frenzy right now waiting in eager anticipation for my next treadmill review.. Relax. I’m back. With sore legs and a sore back after being persuaded to try going skimboarding with some friends on the river. It sounded like fun at the time…

Anyway, the treadmill I’m inclined to write about is the Smooth 9.65LC. When it comes to value, this is one of the best treadmills in the in-home market ($0 – $3000). The Treadmill is usually around $2,000, or a little higher. It’s actually the exact same as the 9.65 TV, just without the TV, and for a few hundred dollars less. If it were me, I’d go with this treadmill over the TV treadmill, and just buy a separate TV. You can get a bigger and better TV for the extra money you would have spent for the TV model.

A great thing about these Smooth treadmills is that they have welded frames. A feature that is usually only found in club-quality, high-end treadmills. The frames are super strong and solid. And, obviously covered by a lifetime warranty. The motor is an intense 4.0 CHP Continuous Duty motor that operates quietly and smoothly, and can easily support a 400 lb person. In addition, the deck should never crack or break on you. If it does, it’s covered by the awesome lifetime warranty on parts that Smooth offers, which you can’t find anywhere else in these price classes.

The treadbelt is a 21″ x 64″ belt offering just a little more room than the usual standard 20″ x 60″ size. Smooth is a leader in going the extra mile. They seem to add just a bit more than the competition in every aspect to make themselves the obvious answer in a decision.

Here’s a list of the specs.

  • 4.0CHP Motor
  • 400lb weight limit
  • 21″ x 64″ treadbelt
  • 3″ Rollers
  • 12MPH
  • 15% Incline
  • 28 Exercise Programs
  • MP3/Ipod Dock w/built in speakers
  • Warranty: Lifetime Frame, Motor, parts, 2 year labor

Basically if you want a sturdy workhorse of a treadmill, this is a good choice. It doesn’t have a flashy technicolor display or Ifit live or other fancy things. It just has the basics of an excellent treadmill. If this is in your budget this would perhaps be the best family treadmill you could find in this price range.

About My Treadmill Reviews

TreadmillMy treadmill reviews are both subjective and objective. They are objective in the sense that I will provide you with information about each machine, such as motor, weight capacity and other features. But they are subjective in the sense that I am really giving my opinion of each treadmill. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, but my hope is that my elliptical and treadmill reviews can be helpful to you in making a decision on what to buy. Remember that each review is just what I think. You can always check out Treadmill Doctor, Treadmill Review Guru or these other treadmill reviews if you want another opinion.
