Sole F83The Sole F83

Sole is a great company. Despite their crappy website, they have grown incredibly fast and are practically the largest treadmill company in the world. They have dealers all over the world, and they get most of their attention from their exceptional customer service. People who own sole treadmills are in good hands. Probably the best in my opinion. They stick to their warranties well, and do well at making their customers happy. They get most of their business from selling their treadmills to Hotel Chains around the world. But they are becoming more and more active in the home treadmills market.
Their line consists of about 8 treadmills total. The Sole F83 is one of the higher-end folding treadmills, just under the F85, and just a step up from the F80. It has a heavier horsepower motor than the F80, jumping up to a 3.25CHP motor that makes less noise due to a heavier flywheel. The Deck has a higher weight capacity coming in at 375lbs, which is stronger than you’ll find on most home treadmills.

A lot of treadmill companies don’t bother to say the thickness of the belt on their product description page. A belt really should be 4-ply if it’s going to last well, but most treadmills under 2 or 3 thousand dollars won’t be 4 ply. If the product description of a treadmill doesn’t say the thickness of the belt, you can assume it’s either 2 ply or even 1. If it were 4 you can be certain they would let you know. The belt on this treadmill is a double woven 2-ply belt, so if anything wears out, it may be the belt eventually. However, if you keep it well lubricated and taken care of it should last you quite a long time.

Other Details:

  • 3.25CHP Motor
  • .5 – 12MPH
  • 15% Incline
  • 375 lbs weight limit
  • 20″ x 60″ treadbelt
  • Folding with Easy Lift Assist
  • Backlit Blue LCD display
  • 6 built in programs
  • Cooling Fan

With the excellent customer service of Sole to their customers and the lifetime warranty on the frame and deck with 5 years on parts and electronics and 2 years on labor, this treadmill is worth the price. The parts and features are somewhat basic, but you’re pretty much guaranteed to have a working treadmill for years to come.

About My Treadmill Reviews

TreadmillMy treadmill reviews are both subjective and objective. They are objective in the sense that I will provide you with information about each machine, such as motor, weight capacity and other features. But they are subjective in the sense that I am really giving my opinion of each treadmill. You may agree or disagree with my opinion, but my hope is that my elliptical and treadmill reviews can be helpful to you in making a decision on what to buy. Remember that each review is just what I think. You can always check out Treadmill Doctor, Treadmill Review Guru or these other treadmill reviews if you want another opinion.
